The Art of Diablo, Volumes I and II

The Art of Diablo, published in hardcover in 2019 by Jake Gerli and Robert Brooks, collects art from Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III and early Diablo IV material. The US Blizzard edition is 9781945683657 and the UK Titan edition is 9781789092998. It is the visual companion to the first quarter century of the series, concept art, character design and environment painting presented at full page scale.

The Art of Diablo Volume II followed in 2024, with more than 500 pieces covering Diablo IV, Diablo II: Resurrected and Diablo Immortal. The US edition is 9781956916287 and the UK Titan edition is 9781803366173. For most collectors this is the more wanted of the two volumes now, because it is the only official large format art record of Diablo IV's long development.

That last point deserves its own emphasis, because the census recorded it as a formal absence. There is NO standalone book called The Art of Diablo IV. Publisher, distributor and catalogue searches found none, and the record is held as NO_EN_EDITION so that no phantom page or affiliate link is ever built for it. Diablo IV art coverage lives in Volume II. Any listing selling a standalone Art of Diablo IV is selling something that is not the official book.

The two volumes together also document a design arc worth seeing in sequence: the gothic revival look of the first game, the globe spanning sequel, the brighter third game, and then Diablo IV's deliberate return to darkness, which reads most clearly when Volume II is opened right after Volume I's final Diablo III chapters.

No Japanese editions of either art volume were found in the census. As with the rest of the Diablo book programme, this art line is English only, in US Blizzard and UK Titan forms.
