Book of Lorath and Book of Prava

Volumes four and five of the tomes, both by Kirby: relics in 2023, religions in 2024, and the Diablo IV era in reference form.

The Horadrim tome sequence completed itself in the Diablo IV era with two volumes by Matthew J. Kirby. Diablo: Book of Lorath, hardcover, June 6, 2023, 176 pages, is Character Tome volume four, devoted to Sanctuary's artifacts and relics, the objects of power that drive so many of the series' stories. The census records the print hardcover at 9781956916140 and notes that 9781956916393 is the separate ebook ISBN, not to be used for the physical book.

Diablo: Book of Prava followed in 2024 as volume five, on Sanctuary's religions and belief systems, narrated through Reverend Mother Prava of the Cathedral of Light. The US Blizzard edition is 9781956916522 and the UK Titan Books edition is 9781803368597. Prava was a scope surprise in the census: the Book of line is bigger than the famous Cain and Tyrael pair that most collectors stop at.

Together the two books mark the line's shift in centre of gravity. Cain and Tyrael documented the world of the first three games; Lorath and Prava document the world Diablo IV actually takes place in, its relic hunts and its church, written by the same author who then wrote the Diablo IV novel The Lost Horadrim.

Both volumes are Blizzard Entertainment publications in the US, continuing the publisher change that began with Book of Adria. Both were preceded in the box set story by the Horadric Vault Complete Collection of 2023, which contains Cain through Lorath; Prava arrived after that box, so a complete tome shelf needs Prava separately.

No Japanese editions of Book of Lorath or Book of Prava exist. That is true of every Diablo lore tome in the census, which recorded no Japanese editions for the line at all.
