Hirohiko Araki: the gallery
This gallery page gathers the images the Araki hub discusses, in career order. The first wall is the apprenticeship: Baoh's cover art, the Gorgeous Irene stories and the first JoJo volume, where the 1980s action body still rules and the posing genius is just arriving. These images matter because everything later is measured against them.
The second wall is the evolution strip, the gallery's centerpiece: one signature cover or spread per JoJo part, Parts 1 through 9, arranged in sequence. Bulk gives way to proportion, proportion to runway elegance, elegance to the mature realism of Steel Ball Run and JoJolion. It is the visual form of this hub's art evolution entry, and the single most persuasive image sequence in the Artists Wing.
The third wall holds the parallel career: Rohan, in his one shot covers and the full color Louvre book, the Gucci collaboration art, JoJonium's repainted covers of the young cast in the mature style, and the large works from the Ripples of Adventure exhibition. Araki is the only artist in this Wing whose gallery needs a museum wall, and it gets one.
Every image on this page is marked for verified sourcing before publication, with Japanese and English edition covers compared wherever both exist. Araki's art is reposted endlessly without credit or date, and a hub gallery earns its place by being the opposite: every cover identified by part, edition and year.
