How many copies has Black Clover sold?

Twenty-five million copies by September 2026, from a first volume that sold 38,128 copies in its first week.

Volume 1 opened modestly: 38,128 copies in its first week, number 23 on the Oricon chart. The growth after that is steady rather than explosive, the signature of a series carried by a long anime run and word of mouth: past 12 million the month the anime ended, past 19 million the month of the film, and 25 million in circulation by September 2026, after the manga had closed. France alone accounts for over two million copies as of December 2023, and United States BookScan sales ran above 200,000 books a year in 2021 and 2022.

The trade noticed early. Black Clover placed ninth in the Next Manga Award in 2016 and third in the Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics the same year, and early English-language reviews reached for the obvious comparisons, Naruto, Fairy Tail and Bleach. A panel at San Diego Comic-Con put it on a worst-of-2016 list instead. Both readings are part of the record; the circulation line below is the argument that settled it.
