How many Japanese guides did Twilight Princess get?

Four at launch, from four different publishers, and a fifth a decade later for the HD remaster.

Twilight Princess launched in Japan on Wii and GameCube in December 2006, and the guide trade answered with a pile up. Four licensed Japanese guides reached shelves within days of each other around the turn of February 2007, each from a different publisher, and none of them is a GameCube specific book: all four cover the game itself, a point this Library's GameCube guide page explores from the other side.

Shogakukan's entry is the Nintendo Official Guidebook under the Wonder Life Special label, dated February 3, 2007. Enterbrain's Perfect Guide, Nintendo DREAM's guide and Kadokawa's Complete Guide complete the set, the four of them a snapshot of how competitive the Japanese guide market still was in the Wii era.

America split its coverage differently, between Prima's Premiere Edition and the Nintendo Power official guide, two books against Japan's four. A decade later the HD remaster added one more Japanese volume, a Wonder Life Special guidebook in 2016, bringing the Japanese total to five.

The cover art of the four 2007 books is the largest unverified gap in this Library's Zelda guide census: the books are documented, their covers are still being confirmed from clean photographs, and the art slots below are waiting on them.
