How many Kenshin books are there?
Twenty-eight volumes tell the original story. The editions around them are where counting gets interesting.
The original manga is 255 Acts in 28 tankōbon volumes (1994–1999). Shueisha has since issued the same story in three further Japanese formats, and Watsuki has continued it in a sequel series. In English, Viz Media has sold it in three formats of its own. Here is the whole shelf, counted.
