Timing is the collector fact: the JP bonus disc was given at the time of pre-order (Lozwiki/Wikipedia release coverage: bonus disc "given at the time of the pre-order", offer revealed Nov 22, 2002 on Nintendo's Kaze no Takuto site), and its November 28, 2002 date is *before* Wind Waker JP itself (Dec 13, 2002) — a JP copy is therefore a late-November 2002 object, not a December pack-in.

In Japan the pair is branded as two titles — *Toki no Ocarina GC* and *GC Ura* — where the US disc folds both under the single "Master Quest" name. "Ura" (裏, reverse side) is the surviving name of the cancelled 64DD Ura Zelda. Whether every JP copy had a full retail-style case versus a simpler bonus sleeve was not settled by a named source in this pass — one contemporary forum account describes a Zelda bonus disc arriving in a small envelope inside a manual, but its context (which disc/region) is ambiguous, so it is recorded here as an open question, not a fact. Do not census a JP case form without photographing one.
