This Week's Jump: No. 49 Puts Ichi the Witch in Front, and One Piece Is Back

Weekly Shonen Jump 2026 No. 49 went on sale in Japan on Monday, November 2, 2026, priced at ¥320 (~$2). The lead color spot, the magazine's cover-story position, goes to Ichi the Witch, by story writer Osamu Nishi and artist Shiro Usazaki.
Also in color this week: Roku no Okashina Ie and UNDER DOCTOR in center color, plus a special one-shot, "Inōryoku Battle Fantasy-bu" by Kyō Tatara. And the return the readership notices most: ONE PIECE is back in the magazine after its break in No. 48, with SAKAMOTO DAYS running as a regular chapter.
Next issue, No. 50, goes on sale Monday, November 9, also ¥320 (~$2).
One beat of context from last week, because collectors will care: No. 48, on sale October 26, was the SAKAMOTO DAYS 6th-anniversary cover and lead-color issue, carrying chapter 280 and launching the series' 3rd character popularity poll. Anniversary covers are the issues of a long-running series that get kept, graded, and hunted. No. 48 is that issue for Sakamoto Days this year.
The weekly magazine is disposable by design, which is exactly why the right issues become collectibles. A lead-color debut-position issue marks where a series stands right now, and an anniversary cover like No. 48 marks where a series has arrived. Watch both ends of that: this week's table of contents is next decade's checklist.
