What are the best Hirohiko Araki art books?

JoJoveller is the monument, JoJo A Go Go is the classic, and JoJonium is the sneaky essential, because every one of its covers is a new painting.

The classic Araki art book is JoJo A Go Go (2000), a lavish boxed publication covering the saga through Golden Wind, mixing illustration collections with Stand data and Araki's commentary. It established the template for JoJo reference books as luxury objects and remains the single volume most associated with his color art of the weekly era.

The monument is JoJoveller (2013), a large boxed set published for the series' 25th anniversary era, gathering illustrations at scale alongside a Stand reference volume and a Hirohiko Araki works component. Its size and production values make it the centerpiece of an Araki shelf, and its price on the secondary market reflects that status, so verify completeness, all volumes and inserts present, before buying.

JoJonium (2013 to 2015) is the essential most readers walk past. It is a deluxe hardcover reissue of the manga's first three parts, and Araki painted entirely new covers for every volume, redrawing his young characters in his mature style. As a set it is effectively an art book distributed across a manga reissue, and the cover sequence, early cast in late style, is a document of his evolution that this hub's gallery page reproduces as a strip.

Add the exhibition catalogues, especially Ripples of Adventure, and his technique book Manga in Theory and Practice in English, and the Araki art shelf is complete in a way few manga artists allow. A caution in the Library's standard form: boxed sets lose value and meaning when incomplete, so check contents against publisher listings, and be wary of the many unofficial Araki illustration reprints sold online.
