What Are the Vinland Saga English Hardcover Editions?

Fifteen hardcovers, thirteen years, one unbroken line.

Kodansha USA published Vinland Saga in English as two-in-one hardcover books, a format closer to a collected edition than to the Japanese tankōbon. Book One appeared on October 14, 2013, gathering Japanese volumes 1 and 2; the line closed with Book Fifteen on October 13, 2026, completing the 29-volume series in English.

The line was an early statement that this manga would be sold to adults as a book, not a pamphlet: hard covers, the Japanese cover art retained and re-lettered, and a steady two-a-year rhythm through the middle of the run. It is the edition most English-language collectors actually own, and the one against which the later Deluxe Edition defines itself.
