What are the Swordsmith Village and Hashira Training arcs on screen?

Swordsmith Village, broadcast in 2023, adapts the battle at the swordsmiths' hidden village with the Mist and Love Hashira, and Hashira Training, in 2024, adapts the Corps' preparation arc and ends on the threshold of the finale.

After the Entertainment District season, the anime continued with the Swordsmith Village arc in spring 2023. Tanjiro travels to the hidden village where the Corps' blades are forged, and the story pairs him with two Hashira, the absent minded Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the exuberant Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, against an invasion by two of Muzan's strongest demons. The season is also where Nezuko's story turns, in a daylight scene the production treats as one of the whole adaptation's emotional peaks.

The Hashira Training season followed in 2024 and is a different kind of object. It adapts the manga's short preparation arc, expanding it with anime original training material for each Hashira, and it is openly a held breath before the finale: eight episodes of the Corps readying itself while Muzan searches for Nezuko and the Ubuyashiki family. Its final episode, which moves the pieces into place for the castle assault, was received as a season finale in name and a film prologue in effect.

Together the two seasons complete the television portion of the adaptation. Everything after them is cinema, so a physical collection of the anime divides cleanly: four television seasons, one earlier film in two versions, and a closing trilogy. Japanese Blu-ray releases keep that structure visible, with each season in its own boxed volumes.

Viewers reconstructing the order should note that the training season's expansions mean episode counts no longer map neatly onto chapters, a pattern Ufotable used increasingly as the manga's remaining material shortened. The manga remains the pacing benchmark, and the anime's additions are best treated as production supervised enrichment rather than replacement text.
