What Hunter x Hunter video games are there?

The games are mostly Japanese handheld and mobile titles, led by Wonder Adventure for PSP (2012) and the tag fighter Nen x Impact (2025).

Hunter x Hunter's game history follows the manga's eras. Early titles rode the 1999 anime: Game Boy Color and WonderSwan entries, PlayStation adventure and RPG releases around 2000 and 2001, and card and board game tie ins built on Greed Island's premise, all released in Japan for the domestic audience. They are modest licensed productions, collected today as era artifacts with the first anime's art on their boxes.

The substantial handheld entry is Hunter x Hunter: Wonder Adventure for PSP, released by Bandai Namco in Japan in 2012 alongside the 2011 anime's rise. It is an action adventure that plays through the Exam and Heavens Arena era material with Gon and Killua switching in and out, original animated touches and a system built around partner actions. It remains Japan only, though its action focus makes it the most import friendly of the story games.

Mobile carried the license through the 2010s: Battle All Stars (2014) and Arena Battle (2020) ran as card and team battlers with live service economies, and both have since closed, leaving the usual live service epitaph of delisted apps and fan wikis. The franchise's card game presence in print, the Miracle Battle Carddass lines and later Union Arena sets, outlasted them, and collectors will find the physical cards easier to complete than any record of the mobile rosters.

The modern headline is Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, a three versus three tag fighting game by Eighting, published by Bushiroad Games and Arc System Works, released in 2025 for modern consoles and PC with a worldwide launch, the franchise's first globally released console game of its scale. Its roster draws across the arcs through Chimera Ant, and its systems translate Nen categories into team roles, a design brief the series' rule bound fandom was always going to audit closely.

Strategy notes, since Nen x Impact is the game readers can actually buy new: build teams around one point character and treat assists as Nen contracts, the game's zoning Emitters cover approach the way Emission covers a Transmuter's range in the manga, and the training mode's frame data is unusually complete, rewarding the same rulebook reading the series teaches. For the older imports, Japanese guidebooks covered Wonder Adventure fully and are the natural companions to a PSP copy.
