What is Solo Leveling: Ragnarok?
Ragnarok is the official sequel, built the same way as the original: novel first, webtoon second. The web novel is by Daul, a writer Chugong publicly blessed as his successor, and it launched on KakaoPage on April 10, 2023 by posting 105 episodes at once. It stars Sung Suho, the son of Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In, an ordinary college student whose sealed inheritance wakes when the Itarim, gods from outside the universe, come looking to fill a power vacuum. The novel ended on July 23, 2025 at 375 chapters with more than 81 million views.
The webtoon launched on July 31, 2024, drawn by JIN of REDICE STUDIO in the house style Dubu established. It ran two seasons before JIN stepped away for South Korea's mandatory military service after season two closed in January 2026, and season three was announced to open on KakaoPage on November 4, 2026 with a new artist, Sanjimseung, a handover that mirrors the DISCIPLES succession on the original's side stories.
English readers get Ragnarok digitally on Tapas and Tappytoon, where the translation premiered on November 11, 2024. Print followed the original's path: Ize Press announced the English edition at New York Comic Con in October 2025, and print volumes began appearing in summer 2026, just as the parent series' 15-volume English run completed. There is no Ragnarok anime; the sequel is currently a prose and comics object only.
