What Slayers movies and OVAs are there?
Five films and six OVA episodes, and almost none of them involve Gourry: the screen prequels belong to Lina and Naga.
The animated Slayers beyond television is a prequel line. Because the Special novels’ stories of young Lina and Naga the Serpent were self-contained, they became the films and OVAs: five theatrical releases between 1995 and 2001 and two three-episode OVA series, directed largely by Hiroshi Watanabe and produced mainly by J.C.Staff. North American home video for most of them came from ADV Films.
The films expand in a loop with the print line: the second film, Slayers Return (1996), was adapted from a Kanzaka story and then adapted back into manga as the fourth volume of Super-Explosive Demon Story.
