What was the 2016 Enterplay Zelda card set?

Five games, 138 pieces in all, and the Fun Box's exclusive gold Midna waiting at the end of the checklist.

Enterplay returned to Zelda in 2016 with a far broader set: 117 cards covering five games, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword and A Link Between Worlds, organised in game blocks along the checklist. The 85 base cards and 23 silver foils use imagery taken from the games themselves, and 12 decal stickers and 9 FunTats tattoos bring the full piece count to 138.

The top tier is nine gold foils, G1 to G9, one hero image per game and then some: the full roster is laid out in the tiles below. The ninth, Midna, was held back as the exclusive of the Collector's Fun Box, released on November 11, 2016 with four packs, a poster and one of three pins.

Two cards in the set deserve a collector's footnote of their own. No. 14, the Ocarina of Time card, and No. 32, the Majora's Mask card, are foil poster cards whose foil treatment photographs almost flat, a documented quirk that has fooled buyers and sellers alike: a dull looking photograph does not make either card a base card. Identity rests on the card number and the artwork.

Packs held six cards plus a sticker or a tattoo. Between the two Enterplay sets, American Zelda cards went from one game to five, but the painted Japanese originals of 1998 and 1999 remain the sets this Library's card shelf is built around.
