What Zelda music books were published in Japan?
Alongside the guides, Japan published Zelda as playable music. The sheet music shelf is dominated by one house: Doremi, whose Zelda line runs to exactly five books. The complete collection of 1995 came first, gathering the early series, then dedicated volumes for Ocarina of Time in 1999, Majora's Mask in 2000 and The Wind Waker in 2003, and a Best Collection in 2004.
Yamaha's contribution is exactly four volumes, all from 2010, arranged across piano, electone and guitar: the other complete mini shelf inside the shelf.
The newest book on this page is not sheet music at all. In 2025 DU BOOKS published an analysis volume, The Legend of Zelda and Music, treating the series' scores as a subject worth a book length study, thirty years after Doremi's first collection.
These are books to be played from, not just shelved, which gives them a different survival story from the guides: music books get used at pianos, annotated and worn. This Library counts them with the guide census, where they bring the verified universe of Japanese Zelda books to 109.
