The Witcher books in English: complete bibliography

Nine novels and story collections, nine comic volumes, all verified. The current US paperbacks are one clean Orbit run from July 2022.

The Witcher in English is a tidy bibliography with untidy history. Andrzej Sapkowski's nine books reached English across fifteen years and two publishers' programmes, but the shelf a buyer faces today is simple: Orbit's new edition trade paperbacks of July 5, 2022 form a single sequential run. The Last Wish is 9780316452465, Sword of Destiny 9780316452564, Blood of Elves 9780316452663, The Time of Contempt 9780316452762, Baptism of Fire 9780316452861, The Tower of Swallows 9780316452960, The Lady of the Lake 9780316453066 and Season of Storms 9780316453165.

The ninth book stands apart in format. Crossroads of Ravens, a standalone prequel published in Polish in November 2024, was published in English on September 30, 2025 in a hardcover first release at 9780316597739, translated by David French. It is not forthcoming and it is not part of the 2022 paperback run; both facts are commonly gotten wrong in listings and reading guides.

Alongside the prose sit nine Dark Horse comic volumes: the five original series collections from House of Glass, 9781616554743, through Fading Memories, 9781506716572; the short story adaptations beginning with A Grain of Truth, 9781506726953; and the manga Witcher: Ronin, 9781506733500. Their own pages in this Library give each volume its identifier.

Uniquely among the IPs in this batch, The Witcher also has a complete Japanese life. All nine novels exist in Japanese from Hayakawa Bunko FT, and seven Japanese ISBN-13s were verified in the census, from The Last Wish at 9784150206086 to Crossroads of Ravens at 9784150206291, the last released the same day as the English edition in a 21 country simultaneous release.

This hub page is the map. The reading order page sequences the story, the individual book pages carry each edition's full identifier history, and the US versus UK page untangles the Orbit and Gollancz title and cover differences that cause most buying mistakes.
