Are Jujutsu Kaisen covers the same in Japanese and English?

Across all 31 volumes, 0 to 30, the English edition of Jujutsu Kaisen uses the exact same illustration as the Japanese tankobon, with the same full-bleed crop. Nothing was redrawn for English readers, not once in the whole run.

What changed is the clothing, not the art. The English covers redraw the logo in romaji lettering that mimics the Japanese brush style, move the volume number and Gege Akutami's credit to a band in the bottom corner, and drop the arc subtitle printed beside the number on the Japanese covers. Volume 0 also drops the vertical school name text that runs down the Japanese cover.

There is exactly one exception, and it is a good one: the final volume. Volume 30 matches Japan in its standard edition, but five English retailers each received an exclusive variant cover with completely different art. Those five are pictured below the pairs. They are the only different JJK cover art an English buyer can own.
