Did Japan get a GameCube guide for Twilight Princess?
No.
All four Japanese Twilight Princess guides published in 2007 are branded Wii on their covers. No GameCube edition was ever published in Japan. The separate GameCube guide that collectors know is an American edition, published by Prima.
The reason sits with the game itself. In Japan, the GameCube version of Twilight Princess was sold only through Nintendo's online store, roughly 40,000 copies against about 590,000 on the Wii, so every publisher aimed its guide at the Wii. One Japanese book does nod to the GameCube: Enterbrain's Perfect Guide notes the differences between the Wii and GameCube versions where they matter.
