Frieren's Hiatuses, Explained
Four breaks, three returns, and one open-ended pause, stated plainly.
Frieren's serialization has paused four times. The first three breaks ended in announced returns: January to March 2023, May to August 2024, and December 2024 to July 2025. The fourth, announced in October 2025, is an indefinite hiatus: the announcement said Yamada and Abe would focus on their health, and that the decision followed discussions with the Sunday editorial department about adjusting the series' pace.
This page states the record and nothing beyond it. No cause is documented for the earlier breaks, and none is guessed at here.
