How many copies has Elden Ring sold?

Elden Ring passed 30 million copies; its expansion alone passed ten. The shelf’s numbers, side by side:

The documented figures, each from the games’ own records and publisher reporting: Elden Ring, over 30 million copies, comfortably past Dark Souls III’s ten million, which had stood as Bandai Namco’s fastest-selling record until 2022. Shadow of the Erdtree, over 10 million. Nightreign, over 5 million by July 2025, having sold two million in its first day. And for scale, the earlier shelf: the Dark Souls series, over 39 million copies combined as of 2025; Sekiro, over 10 million by September 2023; Bloodborne, 7.46 million by February 2022.

The trajectory is the story: a 2009 title its publisher would not export became, thirteen years later, a thirty-million-copy event. Each rung is documented in its game’s page in this archive; this page exists so the ladder can be seen whole.

THE LADDER

Documented sales milestones
7.46 million · Bloodborne (2022)
One console, no port, no remaster, and a figure most multiplatform releases would celebrate. The floor of the modern shelf.
10 million · Sekiro (2023)
The single-player-only, multiplayer-free experiment matched Dark Souls III’s lifetime figure within four years.
39 million · Dark Souls series (2025)
The trilogy’s combined total: the genre-founding shelf, still selling a decade after its final entry.
30 million and counting · Elden Ring
Plus ten for its expansion and five for its spin-off: a franchise within the studio’s catalogue that now rivals the catalogue around it.
