How many Zelda amiibo are there?
Counted properly, the Zelda amiibo shelf holds thirty two figures. Twenty six belong to The Legend of Zelda Collection, Nintendo's dedicated line, released in waves from 2016 to 2025. The other six are the Zelda fighters of the Super Smash Bros. series: Link, Zelda, Sheik, Toon Link, Ganondorf and Young Link, which means two distinct Toon Link amiibo exist, one per line.
The dedicated line opened with Wolf Link in March 2016, bundled with Twilight Princess HD, and marked the series' thirtieth anniversary that year with 8-Bit Link, Ocarina of Time Link and the Wind Waker pair of Toon Link and Toon Zelda. Three more Links, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, followed in 2017.
Breath of the Wild supplied the line's centre of gravity: Archer and Rider Link, Zelda, a Bokoblin and the Guardian at the game's launch, then the four Champions. Skyward Sword's Zelda and Loftwing joined in 2021, and Tears of the Kingdom added Link in 2023, Zelda and Ganondorf that November, the four Sages, Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon and Riju, in June 2025, and Mineru's Construct to complete the twenty six.
The line makes a satisfying census object: a closed, countable shelf where every wave is a dated snapshot of what the series was celebrating that year.
