How often does Spy x Family release new chapters?
Spy x Family is serialized on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app and website on a biweekly rhythm: a new chapter every other Monday, free to read, with the official English chapter published simultaneously on Manga Plus and Viz's Shonen Jump service. The first chapter appeared on March 25, 2019. Chapters are numbered as Missions, with shorter Short Missions and volume-only Extra Missions between them, and by October 2026 the numbering had passed Mission 140.
The honest caveat is that biweekly is the plan, not a guarantee. The schedule has slipped repeatedly across the run, including breaks connected to Endo's health, and Jump+ posts a notice in the app when a chapter moves; readers who follow the series plan around the pauses. The collected edition trails the chapters by design: the seventeenth tankobon was released on April 3, 2026, gathering Missions into the high 120s, so the newest chapters exist only on the app until volume 18.
The series is not finished and has no announced ending. The anime has adapted the manga through Mission 87 by the end of its third season in December 2025, which leaves years of published chapters ahead of the screen version, one reason the books keep charting in English: volume 16 reached the New York Times list in October 2026, six years after the English print debut.
