Is the Solo Leveling Novel Omnibus the manhwa?

No. It collects the eight prose novels in one deluxe hardcover, with webtoon art as illustration.

Solo Leveling: The Novel Omnibus, released by Yen On on January 21, 2025, is the franchise's one true deluxe book in English, and its name causes real confusion. The hardcover gathers all eight of Chugong's prose novels into a single 760-page volume (ISBN 9798855414615) at a $125 list price, printed oversized and illustrated with full-page art from Dubu's webtoon. What it does not contain is the comic itself: there are no panel sequences, only prose with plates.

The distinction matters because buyers regularly purchase it expecting the manhwa. Yen Press's own description is careful, calling it a deluxe collection of the eight novels with webcomic art, and as of this writing the publisher's catalog offers no English comic omnibus, box set or hardcover edition of the webtoon at all. The comic in English exists only as the fifteen $20 paperbacks.

As a physical object the Omnibus is still the shelf piece of the English line: a single heavy hardcover that holds the complete original story, with the webtoon art doing the visual work the prose leaves open. It is best understood as the novel's collector edition, the prose counterpart to the Korean limited editions, rather than as a shortcut to the comic.
