Pokémon Legends: Z-A Gets a Complete Edition, on One Real Card

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company released Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension on October 29, 2026, and the important detail is physical: the full base game and the Mega Dimension DLC are on the card itself.
The card also plays on the original Switch, without the Switch 2 enhancements, so one physical copy covers both generations of hardware. Copies include a serial code for 100 Ultra Balls via Mystery Gift.
That sounds like a small thing until you set it next to the alternative. A growing share of modern releases ship as download keys in a box, where the plastic holds a code and the game lives on a server. This edition is the older, better bargain: buy the card, own the game and its expansion, no download required to have the complete thing.
A complete-on-card physical edition is the version collectors keep. It is the exact opposite of a game-key card, and it gives the Pokémon shelf a new physical SKU that is finished the day it is bought, which is precisely the quality that holds value in a collection.
On the shelf: the Pokémon shelf in the Library, where the games-by-era pages document what complete physical Pokémon has looked like for thirty years.
