What Soul Eater video games exist?
Soul Eater's game catalog is a snapshot of 2008. Square Enix published three titles in Japan alongside the Bones anime: Soul Eater: Monotone Princess for the Wii, an action adventure built around an original story with anime production values; Soul Eater: Plot of Medusa for the Nintendo DS, an adventure game following the anime's early arcs; and Soul Eater: Battle Resonance for PlayStation 2 and PSP, a fighting game using the series' team structure.
Monotone Princess is the substantial one. It received an original scenario with new characters designed for the game, full voice acting from the anime cast and animated sequences, making it effectively a lost side episode of the 2008 production. Its Wii motion controls date it, but as a franchise artifact it is the game Soul Eater collectors seek first.
Battle Resonance translates the meister and weapon system into a tag style fighter, the natural genre for the property, while the DS title is a lighter companion piece aimed at younger players. All three games reuse the anime's music and voice assets, tying them firmly to the Bones era rather than to the manga alone.
None of the three was officially localized, a common fate for anime licensed games of the period, so the collecting lane is import only: Japanese discs and cartridges, inexpensive in the used market, with manuals and registration cards as the completeness checks. The Wii and PS2 titles are region locked on original hardware, a practical note for buyers outside Japan.
Later, the cast appeared in crossover and mobile contexts in Japan, but no modern console Soul Eater game has followed. The 2008 trio remains the whole console story, and the Library documents it as a closed, era specific catalog.
