What Are the Fairy Tail Spin-Off Manga?
Eight series grew out of the guild, most of them drawn by other artists.
Kodansha counts eight spin-off series from Fairy Tail. The first wave arrived in 2014, when the franchise briefly had a magazine of its own; the second came from Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app from 2015 onward. Only one, the prequel Fairy Tail Zero, is by Mashima himself. The rest were entrusted to other artists, each taking one corner of the cast: Gray, Wendy, the guild's women, Gajeel, Laxus, Happy.
All eight series, including all three Side Stories volumes, are licensed in English by Kodansha USA, which makes the full spin-off shelf collectible in both languages.
