What Bastard!! video games are there?

Two released games, one cancelled world, and both survivors stayed in Japan.

For a series built from gaming (see the influences page), Bastard!! has a surprisingly small gameography, and every entry is documented. The first is the 1994 Super Famicom game, a one-on-one fighting game built around pseudo-3D stages, letting the manga’s spellcasters duel directly. The second is the substantial one: Bastard!!, Utsuro Naru Kamigami no Utsuwa (“The Vessel of the Hollow Gods”), a role-playing game with turn-based battles developed by Opus and published by Seta Corporation for the PlayStation (catalogue number SLPS-00542), released in Japan in December 1996. It follows an amnesiac Dark Schneider through a boss-driven campaign, its spell system letting players combine magics, and it assumes its player has read the manga.

The third game is the ghost: Bastard!! Online, an MMOG platformer developed by Shaft for publisher Tecmo, reached a public beta in 2006 before Tecmo cancelled development in December 2009. Neither released game left Japan, which makes the pair tidy imports for collectors: two cartridges/discs, two systems, one unfinished online world between them.
