What is Nagasakiya Zelda card No. 48?

The set's painted climax, and the card whose artwork has a famous twin in the Carddass set.

No. 48 is the Nagasakiya card that stops a scroll. It is a full bleed holographic battle painting, mostly red: adult Link at the centre with his sword raised and the Hylian Shield on his arm, Sheik at the right with daggers drawn, a Stalfos centred below them, a Moblin horde pressing in around the edges and Navi in the upper air. The Zelda logo sits at the top right and a gold band at the bottom carries the game's title.

One figure is pointedly absent: Ganondorf does not appear in the painting. The scene is the war for Hyrule fought by its defenders, not a portrait of its villain.

The back is as documented as the front: No. 48, an item guide panel for the Bow and Arrow, a points value of 028 and five hearts, with the inset image reprinting the front painting in miniature.

And the painting itself leads out of the set entirely. The identical illustration appears as Bandai's Carddass No. 42, confirmed by a side by side photographic comparison, which gives this candy card a second life as the finale of the vending machine set. That comparison has its own page in this shelf.
