The interruption

Dated, and stated carefully

The run is near-continuous for 36 years, but it is currently interrupted. A break was announced in December 2025; Morikawa was hospitalized in March 2026, and the series went on hiatus after Round 1515. A return was floated for May 2026 contingent on his health; reporting as of late summer 2026 still describes an indefinite hiatus. As of this page's writing in November 2026, a resumption has not been verified, and the latest chapter remains Round 1515.
