What this census does not claim

The count is a floor, not a total. The fandom gallery this census was audited from is demonstrably incomplete: a collector's physical run holds covers from the early 1990s that no online source documents, and whole years, 2000, 2002 to 2005, and 2015 to 2018, have no verified entry at all. No publisher has ever released an official Ippo cover count.

Milestones are not automatically covers. Round 1400 (2022 No.48) was a chapter milestone inside a gravure cover. The 100 million copies celebration (2023 No.33) and the 36th anniversary feature (2025 No.44) likewise ran inside issues whose covers belong to other subjects. They are not counted here, and this page will not imply otherwise.
