How many volumes of My Hero Academia are there?
42 volumes, 430 chapters, and a 431st that only exists in the last book.
The count is closed. My Hero Academia ran 430 chapters in Weekly Shonen Jump from 7 July 2014 to 5 August 2024, collected by Shueisha into 42 tankobon volumes between 4 November 2014 and 4 December 2024. The full shelf is pictured on the gallery page.
There is one wrinkle collectors should know: the final volume adds 38 pages of new content after the magazine ending, including a bonus chapter numbered 431, “More.” It was never serialized in the magazine; the book is its only home, and the anime later adapted it as a television special in May 2026.

BY THE NUMBERS
The run measuredTen years
July 2014 to August 2024 in the magazine; November 2014 to December 2024 in the books. A complete decade on both clocks.
The cadence
Roughly four volumes a year for ten years: the steadiest shelf rhythm of its Jump generation, with no change of artist or writer anywhere in it.
430 plus one
Chapters 1 to 430 ran in the magazine. Chapter 431, “More,” is volume 42’s exclusive: count any copy of the final volume and you own the whole story.
