The My Hero Academia Manga Gallery

Forty-two volumes, one unbroken wall of colour, 2014 to 2024.

This is the paper shelf: every Japanese tankobon cover of My Hero Academia, volume by volume, in the Jump Comics editions Shueisha published between November 2014 and December 2024. Kohei Horikoshi drew all forty-two. The run is complete: the manga ended in Weekly Shonen Jump on 5 August 2024, and the final volume closed the shelf that December.

Read as a wall, the covers tell the decade by themselves: bright school colours at the start, the villains taking whole covers in the middle years, and a final yellow volume that answers the first.

READING THE COVERS

What the wall shows
The frame
Every cover carries the same furniture: the Jump Comics banner at the top right, the hand-lettered logo, and Horikoshi’s name at the foot. Inside that frame, almost everything else is allowed to change.
The colour story
The early volumes are primaries and school colours. From volume 24 the villains take the wall over: purple, red, black. The last volume returns to volume 1’s yellow, deliberately.
The credits
One name on every cover. Unlike long runs that hand covers to studios or guest artists, all forty-two are Horikoshi’s own paintings.
