What are the English editions of My Hero Academia?

Viz ran it in English almost from the beginning, and finished it in 2025.

Viz Media licensed the series for North America and published volume 1 on 4 August 2015, nine months after the Japanese. Unusually for its era, English readers were never far behind: Viz released the chapters simultaneously in English in its digital Weekly Shonen Jump as Japan published them, and Shueisha’s own Manga Plus took over the simulpub in January 2019.

The print run kept pace for a decade: volume 42 arrived in English on 21 October 2025, completing the set. Viz has also boxed the series twice over: a first box set of volumes 1 to 20 in October 2022, and a final box set of the remaining 22 volumes announced for November 2026. The spin-offs, the School Briefs novels, the Ultra Analysis guidebook, and the Ultra Artworks collection are all licensed to Viz as well.

The spin-off shelf in English

Vigilantes (15 volumes), Smash!! (5), and Team-Up Missions are all Viz series, as are the School Briefs light novels. The whole franchise reads in English; only some of the Japanese guidebooks stayed home.
