What are the My Hero Academia OVAs?
Eleven side episodes, most of them never broadcast at all.
Alongside its 170 television episodes, the franchise produced eleven OVAs between 2016 and 2026, released through every channel except the broadcast one: a Jump Festa screening, two manga limited editions, streaming, cinema event screenings, and film disc editions. They are the franchise’s margins, training days, side stories, and one enormously important piece of main story.
That piece is All Might: Rising (2019), the animated version of Horikoshi’s Vol. 0 one-shot about All Might’s teacher, released days before Heroes Rising. At the other end of the run, the last OVA, I Am a Hero Too, arrived in August 2026. The full census follows; the regular seasons are on the anime page.

Training of the Dead (2017)
Bundled with volume 14’s limited edition, June 2017: a joint training session with another school, and a zombie problem.
All Might: Rising (2019)
The main-story OVA: Nana Shimura and the young All Might, adapted from Horikoshi’s own one-shot. Released 13 February 2019.
THE CENSUS, SECOND HALF
2020 to 2026The 2020 pair

The event pair (2022)
