The PC Engine RPG Gallery
The first CD console, and the widest gap in the Library.
The PC Engine CD-ROM² was doing voice acted, animated, CD scored RPGs in 1989, years before the format won the industry. Its American twin, the TurboGrafx-CD, sold a fraction as well, and the difference between the two markets is written across this whole shelf: two of these four games crossed over, one crossed only as half of a pair, and the biggest of them all never crossed at all.
Japan only games get single cover treatment here, with the absence stated on the tile. Nothing on this page pretends a Western edition exists where none was made.
